Works Infrastructure Management System (WIMS) is a web based tool used by maintenance and engineering teams to create work forecast plans for all asset maintenance work required.

WIMS was designed for rail environments and can be either a free standing work management solution or linked to an enterprise asset management solution to provide local tactical planning and management. 

WIMS incorporates an extensive database of the common standard rail maintenance task descriptions. The use of standard task descriptions provides an assurance that all users understand the tasks required and ensures a uniform KPI/business
reporting structure.

WIMS can be integrated with FMS to provide input of work arising from infrastructure faults, and can also integrate with RMS as an input for project planning or with OTPS to provide specialist tamper or stone-blowing planning.
