RTS Solutions’ software engineering suite delivers the end-to-end processes for the National Rail Infrastructure Engineering and Operations functions directly to the rail authority and through its major suppliers. Within these functions we support renewals, projects, maintenance works and operations (via the integrated control centres). 

Our software applications enable all key rail disciplines such as track, signalling, overhead lines, power, and off-track works to integrate all their activities supporting an informed business approach. Our software embraces the operational rail processes configuring each application’s data and business rules with rail specific geographical/location assets knowledge, health and safety implications and connectivity between disciplines.

RTS Solutions application suite provides:

Real Time Incident and Fault Management - Providing the fault analysis, monitoring and rectification process for all disciplines supporting the National
Rail infrastructure.

Plant and Fleet Management - Planning, ordering, resourcing and effective utilisation of on-track plant and road/rail vehicles for rail renewal and maintenance contracts.

Planning, Logistics and Delivery - The Resource Management System (RMS) provides management information across multiple rail infrastructure projects consolidating detailed project plans into a single overview. The Planning and Logistics Management System (PALMS) coordinates delivery and utilisation plans for a wide range of plant, materials and resources.

Worksite Systems - Provides local tactical planning and management for maintenance and engineering teams to create work forecast plans for asset maintenance work.

Our product suite is enhanced by the following technologies:

Mobile Technologies - by using mobile devices such as laptops, ruggedised tablets or other hand held devices, engineers can work trackside whilst receiving assignments and updating details of the completed work back to a central
control system.

GIS Mapping - Our products can be configured with a graphical interface using information obtained via the Sectional Appendix to enable the user to view and locate possessions, worksites, and faults down to the lowest level.
