As an example of project work successfully delivered - RTS have successfully delivered the first phase of a redevelopment and upgrade of a critical safety system (Safe System of Work Planning System SSoWPS). This system governs, approves and manages the plans, which are created to deliver maintenance work safely on the rail network. This system checks the risk assessment, the competencies and qualifications of the staff undertaking the work, and where the work is going to take place. The system handles 11,000 plans per month and carries a job bank of over 12 months worth of activities (132,000 maintenance plans). It has key interfaces to four key databases: NESA, Sentinel, Hazard directory and GZAM applications.
