RTS Solutions have been providing real-time web based software for fault and incident management systems on the UK rail and road networks since 2000.

To address the specific environment of Metro systems, RTS Solutions have combined key elements of functionality from our Rail Fault Management System (FMS) with key elements of our Highways Incident Management System (HIMS) to create a tailor made Fault/Incident Management product (FIMS) for Metro Control Centres.

FIMS supports the management and maintenance of infrastructure assets within a geographical area, and ensures metro teams have the necessary real–time information to analyse fault data on all assets to optimise infrastructure performance and improve efficiency across the transportation network.

FIMS records ALL faults, incidents and defect reports across a complete network asset infrastructure, including rail or tram track, signals, rolling or vehicle stock, buildings and equipment, power lines and other physical structures.  From the recorded information, management teams allocate engineers to specific faults, incidents or maintenance arising requests.

FIMS provides management staff with a ‘real time’ view of all the outstanding defects across the transport network and monitors the effectiveness of the response team.
