RTS Limited (RTS) was formed in July 2000 with the objective of providing fault and incident management solutions to the rail industry.

2001 - FMS Fault Management System launched - its first customer Carillion Rail, then one of the largest of the railway infrastructure maintenance companies, rolled out the system to manage all fault and incident response units. At this time they maintained over 23% of the railway infrastructure.

2002 - Network Rail formed and decides to roll out FMS to all companies involved in infrastructure maintenance contracts in the UK railways.

2003 - FMS covers the whole UK railway network deployed across all 12 Network Rail infrastructure control rooms within in excess of 200 concurrent users.

2003 - WMS (Work Management System) launched to address work management processes in the rail industry contract markets.

2004 - The Company enters the highways market with the introduction of the Highways Incident Management System (HIMS). This product was implemented first in the Highways Agency Area 12, then subsequently Area 5. These strategically important and major motorways include the M25, M1, M11, M40 and A1(M) and all the major trunk roads in those areas.

2005 - The Company launched the On Track Machine System to the rail industry to address the utilisation, planning and resourcing of Plain Line and S&C Tampers, Stoneblowers and other vehicles in the on track fleet.

2006 - The Company developed and implemented the SPR - Service Performance Reporting system for use by the docklands light railway. The system takes information from the signalling and train management systems to provide and support service performance and KPI reporting to Transport for London.

2007 - The Company is taken over by new management.

2007 - The Company launched the RMS - Resource Management System. RMS is a  tactical project control and reporting system that allows high level plans to be scheduled and managed with more visibility at all levels.

2008 - The Company delivered a major rewrite and development of SSWoPS - A Safe System of Works Planning System to Network Rail. This development ensures that a safe planning regime exists to protect Network Rail employees working in possessions and hazardous trackside locations.

2008 - The Company launched the On Track Planning System (OTPS) to the rail industry. It addresses rostering of all resources, provides real time 'e' phires functionality via mobile tablets, and utilises the latest web based software.

2008 - The Company launched HIMS v3.0 for the road industry with the ability to manage multiple contracts through a single control centre. Other major functionality includes mobile tracking options, automatic production of Highways Agency green claim forms and standard data reports.

2009 - The Company launched web based requisition portal (RVMS) for the transportation market. Its first customer supplies road/rail vehicles to the
Rail Tier 1 suppliers.

2009 - The Company launched a new product -  WIMS (Work Infrastructure Management System) to replace WMS and reflect market and web technology developments since 2003.
